I moved from Toronto for a tech job in Montréal. I needed French — fast, not in two years. Berlitz got me from A1 to working B2 in 14 weeks. My Francophone colleagues can't believe I learned this quickly.

It's a 2-minute walk from McGill metro station (Green Line), easily accessible from Laval (Orange Line connection), Longueuil (Yellow Line), and West Island via commuter train. Street parking is available nearby. The centre is on the 3rd floor with 8 modern, air-conditioned classrooms, complimentary coffee and tea, and kitchen facilities.
Not at all. We welcome complete beginners (A1) through to advanced speakers (C1+). Your free placement test — done online in about 20 minutes — determines your exact starting level. Whether you've never studied French or you want to refine business French for a Montréal workplace, we place you in the right programme from day one.
Yes — this is one of our most requested programmes in Montréal. We offer targeted preparation for TEF Canada, TEFAQ, TCF-Québec, and Francisation-Québec. Your instructor knows the exam formats, the CEFR marking criteria, and exactly where candidates lose points. Preparation is available in-person at Peel Street or online, and can be combined with general French immersion.
With our intensive programme (full days, Mon–Fri), most students reach working A2 in 3–4 weeks and conversational B1 within 8–10 weeks. With evening classes (approx. 4 h/week), A2 typically takes 10–12 weeks and B1 around 20–25 weeks. Private one-to-one sessions can cut these timelines significantly. Your advisor will give you a realistic timeline based on your starting level and goals.
Yes. We work with businesses across Montréal to help employees meet Québec's Bill 96 French language requirements. Programmes are tailored to each employee's current level and deadline, and are delivered in-person at our Peel Street centre or directly at your company's premises. We can also help structure funding through Services Québec and employer training budgets.
100% free and with no commitment. A Berlitz advisor — a real person, not a chatbot — will contact you within 1 business day. In a 20-minute call, they'll discuss your French goals, your current level, your schedule, and your timeline. They'll recommend the right format, pace, and programme. You only enrol if it feels right. No pressure, no upsell.
