Not at all. We welcome complete beginners (A1) through to advanced speakers (C1+). Your free placement test — done online in about 20 minutes — determines your exact starting level. Whether you've never studied French or you want to refine business French for a Montréal workplace, we place you in the right programme from day one.
Yes — this is one of our most requested programmes in Montréal. We offer targeted preparation for TEF Canada, TEFAQ, TCF-Québec, and Francisation-Québec. Your instructor knows the exam formats, the CEFR marking criteria, and exactly where candidates lose points. Preparation is available in-person at Peel Street or online, and can be combined with general French immersion.
With our intensive programme (full days, Mon–Fri), most students reach working A2 in 3–4 weeks and conversational B1 within 8–10 weeks. With evening classes (approx. 4 h/week), A2 typically takes 10–12 weeks and B1 around 20–25 weeks. Private one-to-one sessions can cut these timelines significantly. Your advisor will give you a realistic timeline based on your starting level and goals.
